Whoa.

When I decided to take a little break from blogging I didn’t expect it to be quite this long. Actually, let me be honest….I kinda did. But not really. It’s confusing.

But I’ve missed blogging. I’ve missed sharing what’s going on in my world. At the end of some days I’d think “that’d make a good post…” and so, I’m back. Feeling a lot less stressed than I was in August. Feeling recharged and re-inspired. And of course, my return to blogging would happen to coincide with a massive hurricane hitting the East Coast, right? Ugh. I hope you are all safe and taking the necessary precautions for your area.

A quick recap and catch up of the past two (two and a half!) months.

During my blog break I…

…celebrated my 31st birthday
…bought more fiddle leaf fig plants (at IKEA no less!)
…viewed a handful of apartments
…put in two applications on two different apartments only to have them both fall through
…got amazing shellac manicures and with that found my new manicurist
…had lunch with my most favourite (ex) boss who I haven’t seen in four years
…discovered this band
…discovered a few new blogs I quite enjoy
…cut my reader down to 79 blogs (from 135!)
…did a few super simple DIYs that I adore and will share
…finally baked these
…presented my sister’s bff with her wedding photos taken in Ireland and made a slideshow for her to share at the reception her in-laws held for her and her husband
…finally got around to making an album using Blurb…and ordered it
…edited photos from my trip of Ireland to share here on Chronicled
…got my hair re-braided twice
…got Howard groomed
…enjoyed long walks with Howard and watched the season change (that’s one thing I missed last year while in India)
…expanded my accidental feather collection
…re-discovered an amazing dog park that is large, beautiful, and well maintained and that, you know, actually has other dogs there regardless of the time of day we go
…went (solo) to a friends wedding
…decided to finally give online dating a go and created a profile on one of those popular sites
…had great thrifting luck (will definitely be sharing my finds in upcoming posts)
…got sick twice
…decided on what I want this space to look like and be and do (thanks in part to your answers from this survey). So there’ll be some subtle changes coming and a new feature I’m super duper excited about.
…went apple picking with my sister, my niece, all four of my younger siblings, one of my bff’s and her three girlies (one of them is my god daughter)
…enjoyed brunches and dinners out with my siblings
…made plans to visit NJ/NYC in late December to visit my bff to see Les Mis
…bought a car

It’s been a full two and a half months but I’m glad to be back in this space.

What’s been going on in your part of the world?

[Oh, and things are looking rather different over here. I thought it only fitting that I revamp the space a little bit. Come have a look! There are a few kinks I’m working out but I really love the new look and hope you do too!]
